We have configured a SQL Job Failure alert in DPA, but it is currently triggering alerts every day for jobs that are not running. The expected behavior is for the alert to trigger only when a SQL job actually fails, and it should not send notifications continuously.
The alert should notify only when the job status changes to Failed, based on the previous execution status. Once a failure alert is generated, it should not trigger again on subsequent days simply because the job has not run for multiple days.
Has anyone successfully configured SQL Job Failure and SQL Long‑Running Job alerts in DPA to work as expected under this requirement?
