Saas - ALERTS FOR WINDOWS SERVICES:
Alert to include name of node and name of the windows service that is down!
I just want to be able to get an alert the notifies me when a windows service is down on a server. I have everything configured, but the alerts don't seem to be helpful.
Been using the out-of-box templates for a few months now but they don't provide both details that we need. Tried hours into messing around with custom reports, different variables, attempts in html formats and even other thwack discussions but haven't been able to get this thorn out.
Without having the ability to view:
- what node has the service down, or
- what is service is down on a node
it requires a technician to have to log in to SolarWinds just to see those details.
I used Orion for years and the out-of-box templates there were great! Not sure great in Saas for basic Windows alerts.
We need a way to be able to report on both name of node and name of the windows service that is down!
