Modern Dashboard ability to search on related entity

To save modern dashboard real estate I've started using related entity. I like having 1 larger column rather than 2 medium size columns. However, there appears to be some sort of fallout using related entities. I've lost the ability to search on the related entity.

Case in point if I had 2 medium columns, column A called 'ports' and column B call 'Node'. I'm able to search on any port and node name.

When I use related entities, I now have 1 larger column that's 'ports on nodes'. I can search by port but not by node <name>

Does anyone know how to navigate this? I can't find any documentation on 'SolarWinds' + 'Modern Dashboards' + 'Related Entities'.

Also, as a point of reference here's how I have the related Entities setup:

Looks like you are right, it does not search in the related entity fields. Just tried on 2026.1RC1.

But, a work around that seem to be working is to add another column BUT NOT SHOW IT.

In below test, I have interface names with related nodes in column one. With only that it does not search for node names. But, adding a second column with the node names and uncheck "Show this column", still makes it search in that column.

No change needed in your SWQL query, just add a hidden/not shown column.
