SolarWinds Event Log Forwarder for Windows causing very high CPU utilization on domain controllers

I encountered an issue where the SolarWinds Event Log Forwarder for Windows was using more than 90% CPU on an Active Directory server. The issue occurred for only about 30 minutes, after which the CPU usage returned to normal. Has anyone experienced a similar incident before, and what could be the cause?

Sorry I am a little confused - "SolarWinds Event Log Forwarder for Windows" and this is installed on your Active Directory server? And the forwarder caused a CPU spike on the server its installed on?

If that is the case looks like the issue could be anything, check for Log Forwarder logs on the active directory server and try to find out what you can.

It could also be a simple reason like say there were a lot of things happening on that Active Directory server during that time which is why Event Log Forwarder was taking more resources to process them.
