We have four web servers all hitting high CPU and memory alerts, which is affecting the use of SolarWinds. We updated to 2025.4.1 last week and its been unstable as times since. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
I upgraded from 2024.4.1 to 2025.4, I havent seen any issues with my AWS (Additional Web Servers). I will be upgrading to 2025.4.1, will keep you posted on the same.
From which version did you go to 2025.4.1 ?
From the previous version to this one.
Thanks Vinay, I've put in a support call also.
I upgraded last week & I have 4 web servers too. I'm assuming you're running through a load balancer, if so did you already do this fix? I ran into this issue after upgrading, but its a known issue and it was a fairly easy fix.
SolarWinds Web Console Shows RejectURL=true When Accessed Through Load Balancer FQDN after upgrade to 2025.4.x
Other than that, you may want to look at C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\InformationService\v3.0\Orion.Information.Services and look for errors. That would point you in the direction of your issue.
I would also highly suggest looking at your DB to see if any of the tables have high fragmentation. I usually checked for index fragmentation once a month and rebuild indexes that are > 70%.
Thank you, had a fix off a SW agent run this morning. Ill keep an eye on the servers today and if successful Ill add the fix here.
Worth noting is that IIS is moving to 64-bit in 2025.4.x versions. 64-bit most likely will consume more RAM.
Thanks Lofstrand, thats a good point to keep in mind. Our fix didnt work, but sent off more diagnostics to SW.
ah ha, good one, I never noticed this. Thank you.
Another note on this subject:
Continuing to use Network Atlas maps in your instance prevents you from moving to 64-bit IIS.
