- NCM (Network Configuration Manager)
- SAM (Server & Application Monitor)
- IPAM (IP Address Manager)
- NTA (NetFlow Traffic Analyzer)
- SRM (Storage Resource Monitor)
- WPM (Web Performance Monitor)
- VMAN (Virtualization Manager)
We plan to migrate to SolarWinds Observability SaaS using Platform Connect.
Please provide:
- Pre-requisites for migration (version requirements, licensing, connectivity, firewall rules, etc.).
- Step-by-step migration process for Platform Connect.
- How data from these modules will be mapped or migrated to SaaS.
- Impact on existing alerts, dashboards, and reports – do they migrate automatically or need manual recreation?
- Post-migration validation steps.
- Any best practices or common pitfalls during migration.
Also, confirm if Platform Connect supports hybrid mode (keeping Orion active while SaaS runs) and how long we can run both in parallel.
