Need Help Creating Alert for Sophos VPN Tunnel Status (SolarWinds SaaS + UNDP)

Hi Team,

I’m currently using SolarWinds Observability (SaaS) and have also configured the Network Collector. On my on-prem polling server, I created a Universal Device Poller (UNDP) to monitor Sophos Firewall IPSec VPN tunnel status.

The UNDP is working fine — I’m able to see the values populated correctly (true/1 for active tunnels).

However, I’m stuck at the next step:
👉 How can I create an alert in SolarWinds SaaS when the VPN tunnel goes down?
I am not finding a direct metric in SaaS, and I don’t see an option to map UNDP data as an entity attribute for alerting.

If anyone has:

A working alert template,

A document/guide,

Or steps to convert UNDP polled data into a SaaS metric,

please share. It would be very helpful.
