404 error in UDT views

Hi everyone,

I've recently upgraded SolarWinds from 2025.4 to 2025.4.1, and when I go to Device Inventory and User Inventory views, it appears the following error:

404 - File Not Found, Ooops...

Unable to access the required path '/apps/udt/apps/platform/not-found'Message: 'required path does not exist'

I've launched the Config Wizard, and have rebuilt my website, but nothing changes.

Does anyone have any idea about this or what is happening?

The same issue is happening in some other environments we upgraded to 2025.4.1.

It appears to be a new feature introduced by SolarWinds with their “hotfix.”

After upgrading to this version, we experienced the same issue with three of our customers.

SolarWinds support still hasn't provided a proper response on this matter.

Hi, try this. Seems to have solved the issue in my lab:

- Edit the user account
- Under User Device tracker settings, change "Device tracker inventory pages" to "disallow" and save
- Edit the account again, this time setting the same value to "allow" and save
- Now it should work

Yeah, it seems to work, but it would require a massive edit, as it has to be done per user.

Another way is to tweak it right in the database.

Seems like accounts with the issue is missing the db setting [UDT.UdtAllowInventoriesAccess] in table [WebUserSettings]

I have not tried this but it looks like a solution.

Hi,

I restored the database from a test environment to a point prior to the modification of the UDT view settings in the user and verified that, in the table, the SettingValue value was “True” for the configuration name “UDT.UdtAllowInventoriesAccess” for that user. One curious behavior is that the Device Inventory and User Inventory views no longer display any 404 errors. This leads us to believe that the problem stems from the website.

I performed another test by replacing the contents of %ProgramFiles%\SolarWinds\Orion\Web\apps\apps\udt from an environment running SolarWinds Platform 2025.4.1 with those from an environment running SolarWinds Platform 2025.2.1, and the UDT inventory views worked again. It appears that the files in that path have been modified.

Maybe that's a bug!
