i am not able to add windows DNS server to SolarWinds

hello,

I'm trying to add the Windows DNS service to IPAM, but I keep getting an error. I tested the credentials, and the account is a member of Domain Admins, yet the error persists.

Try logging into the DNS server using the Service Account you are using. If you already tested that, try below as the error looks like it cannot connect via MMC.

On the Orion server:
1st Connection Error Test...........

Start > run > type MMC where allowed.
Click on File and then choose Add Remove Snap in and choose Event Viewer
When the popup appears click the radial button next to "Another computer:". Here you can Browse your network or just type the DNS server name in the place provided.
click the check mark next to "Connect as another user" then click the "Set User" button.
Fill in the credentials used by IPAM to access DNS Server.

Check if you can connect or get an error message.
