I have connected my SOSH to Solarwinds SAAS. How does licensing work?

Do the nodes that are licensed on SOSH also consume a license on the SAAS module?

Hi, I would say that they don't.
To be certain you can look at the license usage in saas, (Settings / Subscription). It's quite clear there, in my opinion, what licenses are used.

On the usage I have an overage. So I just wanted to confirm since the 231 nodes are licences on the SOSH.

SWOSaaS has its own licensing, and it is also for Solarwinds a service they need to pay for ingesting data. So your licensed Nodes on SWOsh still need a License in SWOSaaS

the only thing that is „free of charge“ when conneconnecting SWOsh to SWOSaaS is anomaly based alerting. Everything else needs to have appropriate licensing in place to function properly
