Just wondering if anyone here has worked on something similar — I’m trying to build a report or dashboard in SolarWinds that can help me monitor used vs vacant ports on routers (Cisco, Huawei, etc.). By vacant, I mean ports with no description or with something like "spare" in the description.
Also, I’d like to separate 10G and 1G ports, ideally in the same report or view.
Has anyone done this before? Would love to hear:
- What modules you used (UDT, SWQL, etc.)
- How you filtered or tagged the ports
- Any tips or sample queries you can share
