I went to click 'The balance between what we have and what we need is right' but missed
We are slowly implementing AI. Small select groups and people are using AI so far and procedures are being established. Our environment is pretty locked down, so they are being very cautious when it comes to AI.
Slow to adopt, this is not a fix to an issue but a gamble with programming.
We're deploying our own models on multiple networks in our environment. We're not allowed to use public facing models. We don't want any chance of our data getting outside the network. Our software and hardware developers really want the models to help them code.Bill
We are moving at a pace to ensure that SkyNet doesn't get created or released into the wild...
Leadership seems to have started too quickly with the target of replacing one full-time service desk employee with a third-party A.I. tool. That imploded and was terminated. Now we're rolling out internal chat bots with some other specific tools to keep our data internal. Though, some users refuse to use internal tools... guess how high in the org they are...
We specialise in Hospital environments so AI is very much seen as too risky yet. We have to follow the Hospital management requirements and they just say no overall even though the IT side of things could benefit without any risk to patients. There are some small signs of movement but they are very risk adverse.
Multiple available AI options without controls on what internal data is something that should concern every company.Monitoring AI use, what data is being uploaded where, is an essential precursor to granting your users access to any AI systems, and agreements must be in place with the providers concerning the storage of that data, how long it is kept, and what firewalls are in place to prevent unauthorized access.
We are deploying a bot to take non emergency calls... it really does matter who/what/when/where/how you contract services for AI.
We need an AI bot to vet all the request for access to AI we are getting.
The balance between what we have and what we need is right
We are not adopting any AI.
I have a seen a mix. CHatbots at one place *somewhat adopted. But AI search in another. Backend usage seems to vary with embedded stuff that comes with each application.
There’s a clear alignment between leadership and our AI roadmap. No hype—just the right fit for now.
