On paper, my organization falls under answer "C". In actuality, it seems more like a combo of A, B, & C.
The only thing consistent at work is the consistency of inconsistency.
Obviously for isolated networks some is manual but for connected assets its all automated with agents and scanning for what's on the network and when.
