If Modern dashboard is eventually going to replace the classic views I expect to see, as with the classic, several prebuilt widgets as well as the current fully customizable. I think that is one of the big benefits of Orion, you get so many things prepared for you so it's easy to start but you also have full freedom om doing whatever you want.
Code editing and #dark theme pretty please!
Many tiers of accessibility in my environment. Discretionary access will be critical. There should be some capabilities permitted to "users" and expanded capabilities for customizing code and other content types.
I personally think Code Editing is a vital ingredient in showing very niche data sets that are important to the right teams.
Defiantly agree with overview, but then in-depth dashboards I use custom widgets all the time for coding data... Being able to to this at a level higher would be amazing....

The modern dashboards should be a set of widgets for the regular dashboards. The regular dashboards should be able to display widgets from all dashboard/map/report types. We should not have different types of dashboards, only different widgets to put on the dashboards. And the modern dashboards seemed very constrained and feature limited, so by itself it isn't complete, but it would pair nicely with the rest of the widgets of regular dashboards.
Wow - that would be really cool ... additional features of customization .... editing code ... I love reverse engineering!
Dark theme would be a much appreciated improvement!
.
It would be nice to see more classes on how to use SWQL, even if it's just On Demand

Drag & drop from a list of grouped items. Allow me to customize my own groups, too. Allow us to rename nodes, interfaces, etc. from this area, with the option to apply the changes only in this section, or globally. Provide MANY Visio graphics/icons to associate with whatever we want to customize. Let it all be shareable through the online interfaces of our Solarwinds products, or via export to .pdf. Automatically build links we can share via e-mail.
I voted for D. Many end users lack the ability/expertise to code, and if a code option is there, my experience with over vendors is that it gives the developers the option to shrug and say "go code it yourself if it's not in the OOTB features, we've given you the tools!"
I expect to have full capability to customize views—including editing code
