It would really depend, most of our cloud implementations are 3rd party.
It might be helpful to specify this as "within cloud-based IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) environments." There probably aren't many cases (if any) where a SaaS or PaaS customer would have network elements to monitor, other than the connection to the service itself.
not critical, but Azure can get cluttered quickly when there ane many engineers building things.... so I think a daily/weekly report/widget that states these are the new items discovered or missing....
