Error sending mail alert

Hi, this is the error if I try to send mail alert:

Action Error: The outbound alert message did not reach its destination. The test failed.

Please help how to resolve this. Thanks

I would double check to make sure you have the SMTP information in correctly and that their is no firewall blocking the ports for it from the IPMonitor mahcine.

Also hop on the ipMonitor machine and try telneting to your SMTP server on port 25. This article gives some good tips for manually testing SMTP connectivity.
