Standing up WPM and SAM

I am looking to stand up a new WPM and SAM Windows environment next week. We will have a large number of transactions recording and playing back various application transactions. Alert configuration will most likely be customized and I am looking to have feeds coming from WPM and SAM going to a universal application status web page. I would appreciate any feedback from your own experience that may be useful in addressing any potential problems I may encounter. Thank you in advance for your comments.
