Hello.
On one of our servers we are running Orion NPM 9.5 SP2 and we have a couple of advanced alerts set up to email us when devices go down out of hours.
There are three trigger actions - two emails to be sent immediately a node goes down and a third email to be sent later if the state doesn't change. This latter alert goes to an out-of-hours call centre who will let our engineers know there is something that needs their attention. On the alert escalation tab of the email action we've just ticked the "delay the execution...." box and specified a five minute delay. This works as it should do on our other NPM servers , effectively filtering out some short outages but informing us of a genuine fault.
A couple of times this week we've had the first two notification emails come through , but not the one with the five minute delay , even though the devices in question were down for a couple of hours. When I've run a manual test of the alert trigger it's worked correctly with all three emails coming through which suggests that the configuration is correct , but it doesn't when it's set off automatically.
Has anyone seen this behaviour before , and if so how did you fix it?
