thwack Monthly Mission - August 2014

Trouble is afoot in IT land! Cloaked in denim and faded T-shirts, IT pros all over the world are mobilizing in search of that elusive outage or performance issue that lay dormant in the deep recesses of their labs, server rooms, data centers, everywhere. Their mission: reveal, rectify, and most important, find out who’s to blame. The August thwack mission is a whodunit undertaking like you've never seen. This is your time to become master sleuths and match wits with your IT assets. Unravel the mysteries, thwart the mayhem, and emerge in time for the next showing of Guardians of the Galaxy.

August's Mission

There will be 4 mysteries released throughout the month and your job is to figure out WhoDunnIT?! A new mystery will open every Monday and feature 5 "clues" for you to answer. Correctly answer all 5 clues throughout the week and you'll be entered to win an awesome prize (LEGO's anyone?). Follow the rules below to play.

1 mystery will be featured each week for a total of 4 mysteries. Follow the schedule below to find open/close dates.
Each mystery will contain 5 clues (or questions) for you to answer.
1 question will open each day of the week (Monday - Friday).
1. To qualify for the weekly prizes - answer all 5 questions for that week's mystery before Friday at 11:59pm CDT.
2. Once a question opens, it will remain open until the end of the mission. So, if you miss a week, you still have a chance to earn more thwack points!
Only your first submission to each question will count - double check your answers before submitting.
150 points will be awarded for each correctly answered question.
1. Points will be awarded at the end of the mission.
Correctly answer ALL questions for ALL the mysteries and be entered to win our GRAND PRIZE! That's 4 mysteries with 5 questions each, for a total of 20 questions.

Love it. If I win the Death Star, it might blow up my marriage, cause I'm gonna hang it from the ceiling of my family room. Then I can hang the Falcon and an X-Wing at the other end. Wow, too many ideas.

I actually have a lego death star still in its original box. I have been trying to find the time to put it together over the past 7 years. Now with two small kids, that death dream has gone into hyperspace.

I'm glad that week 1 gave lots of people reason to think. I'm happy to follow up with where my head was at, what real-world experience went into the clues, and why I thought the right answers were "right". Or why the wrong answers were wrong.
