Delete node from NCM without deleting it from NPM?

I have NPM and NCM installed.

I added a node to NCM I already had in NPM.
I decided I did not want to manage that node with NCM anymore so I went into NCM settings and deleted the node
The node was also deleted from NPM

Clearly I didn't do this right. In the future how can I remove a node from NCM without it getting completely wiped from Orion? Maybe "remove" was the wrong operation to do here. Is an "un-manage" option or something?

Just click 'edit node', then down towards the bottom in the 'NCM' section, change 'yes' to 'no', and the device will remain in NPM but no longer be managed in NCM

red888‌ I think you should be able to edit the node properties, and then, from there, towards the bottom, there is an option for "Manage node(s) with NCM". I think if you choose, "No", or "Never", it will not be included in NCM, while keeping everything else.

There are several ways to remove the node just from NCM.

E.g. Configs -> Configuration Management -> select the node(s) -> Edit properties -> set Manage node(s) with NCM to No/Never

Or, go to Settings -> Manage Nodes -> select the node(s) -> More Actions -> Remove Nodes from NCM.

I can add screenshots if still unclear.
