Customization of Component Level View

I would like to customize a few specific component level views but have it only apply to those specific components.

I have an application containing a bunch of components that are custom script components that go out and grab temperature from a bunch of different measurement points. The gauges for those components need to have their range changed to something like 0 - 120 versus the 0 - 2500.

Is there a good way... or any way at all to accomplish this?

Bronx is correct. The component details view is not unique to the application but is a global page for all component monitors in all applications, similar to the interface details page in NPM. You can however create custom Application views that include radial gauges for component monitors that are part of the application template. This allows you to define custom settings like the ones you describe for the radial gauges that will only effect that specific application. It's the same principal as vendor specific Node Details views in NPM.

Yeah, I understand the process for changing the gauges. My concern is that if I do this it will change that gauge for a lot of components and not just the one; isn't that the case?

Ok, the best way to get this done is to edit a template and change the view for the Custom Application Detail View field. The idea is to create a custom application VIEW and add your monitors/gauges there. From that point you can edit the scales for each individual gauge, even if they are in the same application. A custom view allows to make your own definitions, as opposed to the pre-defined ones for an entire application. Hope this helps!
