hi we would like to store the details of what happens in our db (oracle or otherwise), so that we can look back in history over a period of time. it does not seem that "clean days of detail" under Advanced Options, choosing our oracle instance, works. Are there other settings that we need to change to keep detailed history over a longer period of time?

CLEAN_DAYS_OF_DETAIL option should allow for you to extend the number of days kept.

Keep in mind this will only effect the wait based data (not resource metric retention).

If you change it for a specific database instance, it will not take effect until the next time the cleaner runs (nightly).

When the cleaner job kicks off, it should read the new value for details and not clean anything that's not older than that number of days.

Go ahead and change the value and save it, then give it a couple days to make sure it's not scrubbing that detail.

If that doesn't work, reach out to support as we may need to get logs from you to see what's happening.
