APC UPS Event Logging with Orion NCM

Hi,

We have a network that has about 50 Smart UPS's on it that need monitoring. We only want to get notifications (if thats what they are called) when something major happens (faulty battery, low battery levels etc) but to be able to ignore other minor alerts.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, maybe there are tutorials and other threads on this topic, I would be very grateful. I hope this is in the right part of the forum.

Are you asking about logging using Orion or is this for the Log & Event manager product?

Looks like this is the MIB tree which can give details of the APC UPS.

Our problem is that we have a larger version of the list above. Lescaze Dart... is yellow but 99% of the time the warning will be for eg slow network responce time, as in something that isnt important for a UPS. As a result its like finding a needle in a haystack for potential critical problems. Is there anyway I can make it so they only turn yellow and red when its going wrong.

I have been able to set up an email alert system on NPM which only sends emails under critical circumstances (mains power been off for more than 10 mins etc) but this isnt an ideal solution.
