UDT can't see information about pc with windows 10

Hello,

I have the following issue: UDT (3.2.2) can't see information about pc with windows 10. I have a switch, all ports are on monitoring. I can see MAC and IP info about some PC with Win7, but can't see anything about PC with Win10. I tried to change ports, after it I could see info about pc with Win7 on a new port, but Win10 shown me nothing.

Is there a problem about Win10? Are you faced with the same problem?

Do the Windows 10 devices have a local firewall turned on? Could be something that needs to be allowed through. I know Windows 10 does focus on security a bit more. Anecdotally, I recently installed a firewall on my home PC and everything worked straight up - except Chrome. I had to make an exception for that because Windows 10 handled things differently than 8.1 did.

Thank you for your solution! Unfortunately, in our company firewall is on. And local users don't have permissions to turn them off, without admin. BTW, Win7 with firewall shows everything. Your guess about more secure win10 can be right

If the firewall is on, then it's likely that it is blocking the request from Solarwinds - You might want to start a ticket with support and they should be able to guide you (or whomever is responsible for the firewall policies) through what you need to do to add the exception. Generally speaking Solarwinds products are not too invasive. I don't use UDT, but with the other products they have the ability to install an agent (very light weight) on end points and that needs even less ports opened on the end device, provides for lower traffic on the network and gives you better control. (guess you can tell I like using agents)
