Newbie -- would like to monitor CBQoS from SolarWinds

Question

Have Orion 2013.2.1, NPM 10.6.1 and NTA 3.11.0.

I'd like to be able to monitor CBQoS on Cisco devices (one I have in mind is an 1841 ISR.

My understanding is that the CBQoS stuff will get pulled in automatically if I poll my device(s) via SNMPv3.  Is that correct?  Is there any special tie-in with NTA I need to do?  I'd also like to alert when there are "drops" on a class.

Happy to RTFM as well if someone has a pointer to the correct place to get me started..

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a configuration of the cbqos in order to monitor it through solarwind, but it's not really clear for me.

I juste have to set a basic configuration of the cbqos on a router in order to priotirize the VOIP then some network in an "object-group network GR1" and an other  "object-group network GR2"

Can someone help on that? I am a new user in soladwind and sometimes I get lost with that powerfull supervisor

That's correct, you have to enable CBQoS monitoring on demand. If using SNMPv3 with SHA and AES256, please check following SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Orion NTA with SNMPv3 Cannot Collect CBQoS and Mapping Info

I don't think the version of SNMP matters, as long as SolarWinds NPM/NTA can communicate with the device via SNMP.  The device needs to be managed, and within NTA you need to manage sources, find the device and place a check in the enable CbQos to enable the polling of what you've configured.  That will hopefully get you started.
