I am using the IP Network Browser for the first time. All my network devices show up except for the Win 2003 Server domain controllers and the hardware firewall devices. Is anyone else seeing this, or figured out how to make it work?
paulroth - what do you mean by "not showing up"? Are they just showing up as IP Addresses?
We need SNMP access to the devices to retrieve information from it.
Is SNMP configured on these devices? Have you entered correct community strings in the IP Network Browser settings?

Sorry for not being clearer. They just show up as IP Adresses.
SNMP is configured and the community strings used by the browser are correct.
Have been working with support but thus far no joy! I was wondering whether anyone is successfully retrieving information from their Windows domain controllers via SNMP using the Solarwinds tools. It works fine for my servers that are not domain controllers.
If I know someone is definitely able to use these tools to query their domain controllers, that is more information to work with.
Paul - support has contacted me and given me a the capture you sent in... Can you post the result of a download of the sysTable? It seems that the server is returning "NoSuchName" when we ask for the SysObjectID...
SNMPv2-MIB:systemOID 1.3.6.1.2.1.1
Thanks,
Greg
Greg,
I would if I knew how. I can't access the MIB on that server with any tools. If you can tell me how to go about getting the sysTable, I will get it to you...
