Dynamic Group Creation

I'd like to request a way to dynamically create groups. Let's say you list out your groups like:

Field Sites

     City1

          Core/LAN

          WAN

          Perimeter

          etc.

     City2

          ...

Instead of creating a group for each City, I'd like the City group (and other groups) to create itself if it's a unique value. Site_Type (Field Sites), IT_Service (Core/LAN, etc.), and City are custom fields on the nodes today. Maybe have a checkbox when creating the custom fields to "Create Group." Then when the field is filled in with a unique value, a new group is created.

I like this idea...it could also be a scheduled script that queries the DB and then creates a group for each new distinct name that it finds. (Although I hesitate to state this because I'd love to see an end of Orion's dependencies on Windows Task Scheduler.)

A starting point to get a list of all location values would be: SELECT DISTINCT Location FROM Orion.Nodes

The next step would depend on your scripting environment of choice.
