SNMP Voip

Ok so this is my first post so go easy on me, I'm trying to SNMP poll my Yealink SIP phones, they have the SNMP feature but I'm unsure as to how to set this up in order to get effective polling from these remote devices, any recommendations would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks, Poll

Have you already enabled the SNMP feature in the phones' config file? That's a good place to start since the default is disabled.

Thanks, yes I have I've enabled it on the phone and set the port as 161 to match that of the phone. Does the phone have to be behind a router or an snmp enabled router for it to work? At the moment the phone just sits on my local network. Many thanks

As long as your NPM server can reach the phone, you should be all set.

Additionally, you need to establish an SNMP community, etc. so that your NPM server will be authorized to perform SNMP GETs from the phone.
