SRM license information

Question

Hi,

i have a small report that give me license usage ans the saturation. This can be easily found with SWQL usin Orion.LicenseSaturation table.

This is nice except that the license information for SRM is not present even if is it well listed in the Orion.Licensing.Licenses table.

In order to have a complete report can someone advise where to find the SRM license details ?

Also due to license one of our device was no more monitored, where can i find the info in the database ?

Hello,

Again this is not exactly what you want but this SWIS query:

"

SELECT TOP 1000 ElementType, MaxElementCount

FROM Orion.ElementInfo

"

Provides the licenses size for element type - disks, and that should give you the current license size for SRM.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer. i have setup a such query however i was looking for a unique quey able to provide me the current license useage, the current license limit and eventually the saturation for all the products able to integrate into the Orion platform. (for the time being we have NAM + ACM + VMAN + SRM)

Hi,

SRM licensing is tied up with licensing for the STM product (SRM Profiler), so it does not work the same way as other Orion products.

Of the top of my head the only advice I would give is to simply use the number of disks (available through SWIS and DB) and hardcode the license size that you have now:

select Cast(Cast(((SELECT Count(ID) FROM [dbo].[SRM_PhysicalDisks]) / 1000.0 )*100 as decimal(18,2)) as varchar(5)) + ' %' as Percentage

This SQL would give you a % value, with "1000.0" as 1000 licenses)
