Hello,
I would like to suggest improving the filter available when editing multiple custom property values for example the ability to search for nodes with names begging with or containing a string or nodes being a member of group etc.
Thanks,

It would also be nice to have Custom Properties for Groups. I have had several engagements where Clients would like to add an Application to Group of Nodes or to a Custom Property associated with a Group of Nodes, Volumes. etc...

Makes sense. Would it be possible to get some concrete examples of what everyone would like to see to make sure capture it? EX: "Show me all nodes that have an interface where description contains "Foo""
Today we can search for node property values in the search bar, since at least Core 2012.2.2, though you cannot sort by groups (since my groups are based on a custom property I indirectly can)
However I think the bigger issue is the inconsistency of where the search function is located in each module:
Manage Custom Properties- far right corner SWQL standard search bar with a good list of objects available
Manage Nodes - left center and limited to just nodes and interfaces
and Add & Remove Objects to Groups- above left sort navigation bar and includes both the SWQL search, the most inclusive list of objects, and a Group by function.
Any interest in making these search functions more consistent in location and use?
Regex, put it everywhere there is a search/filter box. That would solve this and make many other things so much easier.
Rob,
Just like you can associate Meta-Data now against Nodes, Interface, Volumes, Reports, Applications, etc... It would be nice to have the same functionality for Groups. Comments, Owner, Is it used for Dependencies as a yes/no, etc..
I hope this helps..
