I would like to create an alert that notifies me when a port on my cisco switch changes what is currently plugged into it. For example if someone were to physically unplug an ethernet cable from my switch and connect maybe their laptop or another device, I want to know when that event took place so I can track the IP address of the new device. Any thoughts on how I might go about doing this?
