May have already been requested but been meaning to write this up for a while...
During a bulk ip scan discovery it would be great to be able to add additional information.
Users normally receive a cmdb load template so it only makes sense to be able to added a couple of details per row during the discovery.
As non standard IPs are used across our networks, and hostnames on the device don't always reflect what's in the CMDb we need something in place so when adding nodes in just like how a DNS file is updated (other toolsets have done it for ages)
1.1.1.2 ny-r01
1.1.1.3 ny-s01
1.1.2.1 tx-r01
1.1.2.2 tx-s01
Even if it's only the hostname you need to know the device as - it's one less thing to edit later on.
But is a csv standard was set - IP, Hostname, Polling Method, SNMPv2 String, Polling Engine, Parent Dependency, Child Dependency, CP1, CP2, CP3.....
That would be awesome
