I'd like to see SolarWinds add some way to indicate that a specific interface is a tunnel interface. I think we can all agree that if you have a tunnel interface, it's probably something important that you would want to monitor.
My suggestion is, when you are drilled all the way down to a specific interface on a node, that a button is available the you can press to indicate this interface is a tunnel interface. You would then be able to add a name to this tunnel interface and it be stored in the database. Then, on the other end of that tunnel, you could specify the other tunnel interface. With both tunnel interfaces specified, you could then look at your tunnel interfaces in some window and connect them together from end to end. This would make it super easy to monitor a tunnel with alerts etc. You would also be able to set the alerts as a single item, not two different interfaces on two different devices alerting.
