A feature I am looking for is to make managing interfaces on a node easier. Specifically when they are unknown due to an ifmib table id change. This can happen on a node just from a reboot or upgrade. I know NPM tries to match up these interfaces based on descriptions but in many cases we are left with a node having 100s of unknown interfaces that have to be manually deleted. These interfaces should be able to be removed from the 'list resources' screen. Also they should be able to be bulk selected and deleted. In the manage nodes view there needs to be a column to filter on all unknown interfaces and bulk delete if needed or selectively delete.
Suggestions
- Add management of 'unknown' interfaces to the 'List Resources' screen
- Add interface status column with filter abilities in 'Manage Nodes' page
- Add bulk selection/deletion of unknown interfaces to the 'Manage Nodes' page
