Here is a post that indicates not using regex but shows the back end logic uses SQL "LIKE" and thus, should be able to use NOT "LIKE": Dynamic Query (REGEX) help

Need Example:

all production nodes at remote datacenter except "extranet" DMZ

that set of nodes will have its own group.   They are production but need to be grouped differently.
