I know that this is going to be a smaller market as far as customers are concerned however the customer pool being smaller does not mean that the sales level is smaller. With this being said the Alcatel-Lucent 7x50 platform is a carrier grade hardware platform that is used by several of the larger carriers. I am currently trying to get our ALU boxes monitored correctly with all of the information displays that I know SolarWinds NPM can display. Something as basic as Layer 2 and Layer 3 connection information via the ConnectNow feature in Network Atlas should function with the information that is available via SNMP from the ALU boxes, however after speaking with support it is not. Additionally, thermal information from the ALU boxes can be polled via a custom poller however the information that is displayed by the poller is very difficult to work with. And if you have several thousand devices to deal with, unchecking 11 boxes per node is not really optional.
