I'm trying to publish Adobe updates and get an error from the download assistant indicating that I do not have direct download links. Adobe reader and acrobat are working fine...this error is specific to Air, Flash, and Shockwave. Are these links not included with the product?
The Package Download Assistant contains a link and instructions on how to obtain the installation files for Air, Flash, and Shockwave. This procedure will also apply to Java Runtime updates.
For evaluations, only Reader, Flash, and Java are available.
Thanks for the quick response. The last sentence regarding evaluations…this is not an evaluation installation. We are licensed. Does that make a difference or do I need to manually install this stuff every time there is an update?
The licensing (eval vs full) does not impact how Air, Flash, Shockwave, or Java files are downloaded. This is a limitation of those respective vendors (Adobe, Oracle), and the Package Download Assistant is designed to assist in complying with the licensing requirements of those vendors, while still allowing you to obtain the correct installations files in the most efficient way possible.
