I just finished upgrading firmware on sixty Cisco ASA 5505's. Each one required its own separate job, each one required numerous manual interventions. I'd nearly have been better off doing them all by hand, due to one main problem: The NCM Firmware Upgrade solution does not properly discover the amount of free space, therefore it requires me to discover it manually, and then make the appropriate clicks and selections.
I was told by Solarwinds Support that NCM Firmware Upgrade does not calculate ASA free space and compare it to uploaded IOS image size requirements by design, that doing so would require a Feature Request.
Well, here it is!
