I'd like to see if a Category or Job Type field be added to a NCM job. We are starting to use NCM more for automating tasks rather than logging directly into a device to make the changes. Here's a couple of examples:
Decomm - When we decomission a server, we clean out the configuration on a switch port(s) and shut down the port(s). Now we are using NCM to schedule this cleanup task.
Change Management - If a job is related to a request to occur during our change management window, we would tag it with this.
I think it would be cleaner in the interface to find jobs rather than having a muti-page window like it is today. In my mind, I would picture it looking like the Reports section of NCM where you can use the Group By.
Today what we do is in the Job name, we add DECOMM to the beginning of a decom job name so we can sort them.
