One of the keys initial features of Ignite was the extensive help available to developers regarding the wait events. This is helpful in several ways. It educates the developers on (1) what the event actually is, (2) who should be fixing it, and (3) what the common fixes are. Also, it allows the DBA to concentrate fixing the problem instead of explaining what a "gc buffer busy acquire" wait event is and what causes it and what to do to fix it. There are a number of common wait events that are not documented in the DPA event help text ("gc buffer busy acquire" is one of them).
