Version 11 showed the "name it, exclude it, show a snippet with proc content" dialog when we clicked on the SQL # (or one even previously named) link aside the trends CHART.
We have the lower section where we can click a row with advice against it, and fair enough, send us to the Tuning page, but please, keep the SQL on that page, not on a separate tab!
RECLAIM the CHART SQL Link to show the ESSENTIALS:
- The NAME, so we can name/rename immediately.
- The SQL, in a nice elastic box (like it used to have on the trends "Historic Analysis" page), so we can see the full statement and procedure context.
- The "EXCLUDE THIS EVERYWHERE FOREVER", and "Exclude just from all TRENDS" buttons.
- Might as well have the tuning exclusion, just 'cos it's on the SQL Properties (useless because it doesn't show the SQL any more) box.
Should be a simple UI FIX that will give us our PRODUCTIVITY BACK, which, because of the slow new page and it's overloaded content when all we want to do initially is name the thing, is actually making simple tasks 75% SLOWER to accomplish.
(Admission: a degree of frustrated yelling is taking place. What WAS a good, usable tool, is now royally messed up with THAT new Tuning Page!)
In hopes.....
