Currently we are running NetPath 1.0.1 which supports the following:
1. TCP port only
2. 20 path per Probe
3. Probe interval min 1 min
4. Only Measure Response time and Packet loss.
But we need a tool or application that can support the followings:
1. Both TCP and UDP Port NetPath
2. Make easy to modify existing NetPath rather than creating a new path.
3. Continuous monitoring even in sec range which is very crucial to ensure VoIP/SIP call quality. In VoIP/SIP call we have to deal with milisec range.
4. 1000 path per probe.
5. Configurable threshold limit for both Response time and Packet loss.
6. Nice to have BW utilization, Jitter and DSCP scenario in the NetPath including packet loss & Response time.
7. Also include switch in the hops not only router like Cisco's APIC-EM.
NetPath will be a very good tool or may be single application module where all the above requirements are satisfied or even more.
