We have an instance of Solarwinds that until recently, had no internet connectivity.
It now has very limited, controlled internet connectivity.
When using the license manager, it determines that the poller has internet connectivity and tries to use that for activation/deactivation.
But this fails, because the access is very restricted (by design).
This then gives us a problem. To manually Activate licences we need the Machine ID.
But the GUI does not offer the option to provide a Machine ID, because it thinks it's connected to the internet!
It would be nice to have a check box in the GUI to allow us to force offline activation.
For us, if we run the activation a number of times, it usually determines at some point that internet access is not available and offers the offline options.
But this is frustrating & wastes time.
