As of now, SolarWinds not inlcuded any feature for monitoring Inode usage on Linux/Unix servers. We are expecting to add this feature in next releases.
There is a SAM template available for monitoring iNodes located here > Linux inode Monitor.apm-template
Alternatively, this can be monitored over SNMP using the Universal Device Poller by polling OID '1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.9.1.10.1'
Hi,
Is there any way that we can monitor inode utilisation on Netapp from SRM-Storage resource monitor?? Kindly provide your inputs
Hi Alterego,
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately we do not have SAM in our environment. And in our SRM, we have added Netapp nodes via API monitoring. Is there any chance that i can add the same node again in SRM via SNMP? Means like can i add the same device as a duplicate node with SNMP monitoring in SRM??
If not we have NPM in our environment. Can i add the same node separately again in NPM via SNMP? will that helps me to create the alerts on inode utilisation?
Please help.
Thanks in advance.
Is the inode monitoring feature any closer to being released? I do not use SNMP for monitoring and using a script everywhere is also not an option. I do use the Solarwinds Agent package for collecting metrics to send back to the polling engine, could the agent collect inode use?
Inode usage monitor
Good afternoon,
Has there been any movement on inode usage monitoring? This is pretty old thread and we now have a requirement to monitor for this.
