FEATURE REQUEST - Configuration search

Would love to see a prebuilt module in the Network Configuration Manager home page that would allow a user to search for a string in the backed-up configurations in SolarWinds.

I imagine the module would be a simple text form. It'd be great to see regex or wildcard-type searching, but a simple search to start would be great.

Such feature already exist. Look for the "Search NCM" resource.

I was just on the phone with support staff, and they swore up and down that that feature didn't exist yet.

Search configs has been a jewel of the older Win32 app for years. Very fast, easy to parse out what gear to search and export results. Some newer versions of NCM moved the search to the web interface and it didn't always work. Unfortunately the web based search now is less flexible than the old Win32 where you could stack conditions vs. all the tedious check marking and clicking.

You used to be able to filter vendor=cisco Machine type=29xx (routers) interface=Serial0/0/0 and description contains=MPLS VFR JOE and boom find all your WAN routers in VRF JOE...
