Orion Maps - more features - advanced features

I just completed redrawing three (3) huge maps from Network Atlas maps into ORION MAPS, here are some basic features that I would like to be added to this powerful tool, to make it more powerful.

Features ideas:

* Align Items should be expanded to allow you to select nodes and line them up. Example - a row of Groups (site) names and you want to line them up.

I would rename Align Items to Layer Items.

* A simple line tool is needed, freehand and straight line. Adding arrows at the end would be nice, sometimes this is needed when it is not a circuit but you want to draw a relationship.

* Building objects like in Network Atlas for NOC screen maps with companies with many locations.

* Callout field to place near node that will give NOC Support items (like Support contact numbers) on Mouse Over.

Issues to fix:

* Fix the lag and stopping when trying to drag the node around. I would get about 3 seconds to move it before it would stop, I have to click off and click back on to drag again.

Nice to have:

* Rename Map name from Map menu. https://solarwindsinstancename/ui/maps/management/ checkbox, rename.

* Status of Map: Draft, Pending/Review, Production. This would be good to be able to show people a map and have them know what state the work is in. Maybe color border with status (gray, blue, orange) - Dot in the top left hand corner?

Anything that the popular "MS drawing app" staring with V has that could be rolled into Orion Maps would be appreciated. This is a great tool.

Sorry, objects/icons that look like buildings, like:

100% the simple line tool. It is very annoying creating a simple line to show a link between nodes that are not monitored through SNMP. I have to do the following steps, which is very tedious and convoluted:

- Create a rectangle object and position it between the two nodes to connect
- Change the height to something small like 5 to make it look like a line
- Manually adjust the angle and the length of the "line" so it looks like it's connecting the objects
- manually format the colour to match all the other lines

If I have to move any of the nodes on the map, I have to manually adjust and move the "lines" I created. It would be nice to just be able to click and drag between two nodes and have a line made.
