With the increasing importance of flow data for managing complex networks the ability to use your NTA pollers to duplicate flow information to another system would prove really a valuable addition to the bag of trick.
There are a couple of use case off the top of my head around this
1. You only need to configure your network kit to send data to a single destination
2. Some devices support a limited number of flow destination see 1
3. You move load off network devices producing the data
4. You can concentrate bandwidth usage in to a DC and prevent extra traffic over a WAN
I'm not suggesting that NTA isn't up to the job of processing NTA data infact the recent changes to flow storage clearly show Solarwinds is commited to the value locked up in this data provides but we would be foolish to assume NTA is the only thing that can add value to this data we have a SIEM system that would also like to have visibility of this data.
