I am often required to configure multiple views for all locations with network devices.
For example, I have 170 cities with network switches and routers. Customers requirement is to use a dedicated view for each location, with another main dashboard for country map and hyperlinks for each group/location.
This requires to create one view for specific location and clone it 170 times (with view limitation applied and custom map assigned).
The process is time consuming, but it is working quite good. The problem arise when someone wants to change something. It then requires to change 170 views or to delete them all and clone it again.
What would be amazing is to have one view, which could be filtered based on groups.
This could be accomplished by creating a function for dynamic view limitation for groups/custom property or simply by extending features of current Group Details view.
Currently when I am on Group Details view (i.e. /Orion/NetPerfMon/ContainerDetails.aspx?NetObject=C:1) and I am adding new widgets, those are not filtered with devices from that group (which is a bit strange).
What do you think? Maybe there is another approach to this scenario?
