The Orion family has some decent reporting options. Why can we NOT get a decent export of these reports? The current "Export to PDF" is a joke - its a SCREENSHOT in PDF format.
Please add Export to EXCEL or at the LEAST Export to CSV.
What other types of export would you like to see? Any chart you view in the Orion can be exported to CSV from the web interface, and the Report Writer supports 8 different methods of export. These are all in addition to Export to PDF available in any view in the Orion web interface. You also have direct access to the database, so you can report directly on that data. It's not uncommon for people to use Crystal Reports or SQL Reporting Services for more advanced custom reporting.

The export to PDF is pretty bad (image, not text - no copy paste out of the PDF and pretty large). If it would just take the HTML and convert it to PDF it would be great, but for now "I" (personally) go to the web site and use a PDF printer that does it, but I get an email of the HTML to remind me to go export it. I also would like the ability to write it out to disk instead of email, but I would settle for email of a PDF if the PDF was text select-able.
Alterego - thanks for that - but we typically do not work direclty on the server, so using Report Writer isnt the best option. My opinion is that if I can run a report from the web interface, I should be able to export it there - not having to remote to a server to run the report writer tool.
