It would be nice to delegate permissions for DHCP & DNS seperately from IP management.

In addition or even more important is to give custom roles for selected networks DNS rights.

So an user is able to create A and PTR Records for IP's in his range but not in the range of another department.

Most perfect way would be to check the configured DNS Zone within the network and allow only this.

I would add that it would be equally useful to limit a given user's ability to make changes to make changes on only specified DNS servers. This option already exists to some extent as "Account Limitations" (which can use pre-defined "groups" of nodes/servers), but only seems to affect which DHCP servers a user can see. It has no effect on the the DNS tabs. We have DNS servers that are specially delegated, because they contain sensitive addresses which should only be managed by a chosen few. I'd like to be able to create these limited DNS admin groups.
